Extreme Candy -- Collon, Asse and Plopp!

Extreme Candy Hits the Loo...

Today's delicious find is actually three candies that just seem to go together: Collon, Asse, and Plopp candy, all from far-flung lands (kind of), and all of them every bit as appealing as their name.

The first is the ever-popular Collon, one of the more amazing Japanese candies out there (and that's saying something). Collon gives the folks at Popin' Cookin' a run for their money, no mean feat. The candy itself is a brown tube filled with a soft, darker brown filling. Yes, you read that right.

So let me ask you -- Would you like a nice piece of brown, cream-filled Collon? No? Oh. I see.

What could possibly follow Collon? Well, anatomically speaking, it's Asse.  Another brilliant offering from Asia, good old Asse is a kind of chocolate confection that is actually pretty tasty, until you consider that the chocolate you're chewing has an unfortunate association. Pun 100% intended.

So let me ask you -- does anyone want a nice piece of Asse?

Okay let's see -- you got your Collon, you got your Asse, so what could follow? It seems reasonable to expect a Plopp, right? And that's exactly what we have here:

Plopp is actually a pretty tasty, and it's really popular in its native Sweden. Caramel and chocolate have always been a solid combination, and Plopp doesn't mess it up. But when it came time to name their new confection, the people at Cloetta (the company that makes Plopp) totally dropped the ball. They could have had an international hit on their hands, instead of an international punch-line.

There you have it, Collon, Asse, and Plopp, the candy trio that should never be a candy trio.
